Bloomberg is trying to battle obesity in NYC by banning 16 oz, or larger, sodas and other sugar infused beverages. The shock waves would be felt in almost every eatery across the five boroughs. I have never heard of such an intense measure being taken about soda and obesity before. Why stop at sodas? What would happen if there was a full ban of cigarettes? There already kind of is one in Gotham, you pretty much can’t smoke anywhere? I am a fan of the ban because soda isn’t good for you, but I can understand the backlash. It is your choice to eat and drink what you want. I wonder if any other big cities or towns would hop on the bandwagon soon
